Somehow managed to win Stock Rear Wheel Drive in a class of 5 cars... on 200TW summer tires. Thus continuing the myth of the “Black Magic Trans Am”.

T his was our first event at 81 Speedway, the local dirt track that I’ve gone to watch races at since I was a kid.

To be fair, they’d run their typical Saturday night show the night before, so the oval was completely rubbered up and basically asphalt. This made half the course essentially an autocross, and my 275 width Falken Azenis’ were absolutely planted. The infield... not at all.

It was really cool to get to run at a track that I’d grown up watching races at, and even better to pull of a win.

I remember nothing else from the Camaro I had as a kid besides that passenger airbag cutout, which always bothered me.

There is a small crack in the vent, but you have to really be paying attention to see it.
